Thank you so much for joining us on our special day! To help make your travel to Whidbey Island as smooth as possible, we've included some information on how to get there, where to stay, and things to do on the island. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
First and foremost, let’s talk about Whidbey Island! Located just 45 minutes from Seattle by ferry, this beautiful spot holds a special place in our hearts—it was one of Danielle’s favorite places in Washington and where she and Z had one of their first day trips. There are two ways to reach the island: you can drive onto the ferry or take the scenic route by driving north and crossing via Deception Pass Bridge.
Whidbey Island is quiet and quaint, offering plenty of activities like hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, wine tasting, and exploring the charming small towns. While we would love for you to experience the island’s charm, we completely understand if you prefer to stay in Seattle and commute over. Just keep in mind that most of the weekend’s festivities will be held on the island.
Seattle's primary international airport is SeaTac, which offers direct flights daily from various locations, including California, Washington D.C., Florida, Atlanta, Texas, Illinois, France, and Italy. While there are smaller regional airports, SeaTac is the main hub for international travel.
Unfortunately, there isn’t public transportation to Whidbey Island, and however the bride and groom will be providing a shuttle to and from Seattle to Whidey Island.
The Bride and Groom will be providing a shuttle for guest to take from Seattle. We have reserved a block of rooms at xxx hotel in Seattle, this will also be where the shuttle picks our guests up and drop them off. If you would like to stay on Whidbey Island please see below for possible options.
